A focus on long lasting products keeps the amount of trash we produce down. Single use products like plastic cutlery, straws and bags are an unnecessary waste but an easy fix :). It’s places like this where we can start our journey to become waste free. A lot of our products are made from stainless steel and are built to last.

A lot of the things we use from day to day will not only out last their use they will also out last us by hundreds of years(How long does it take plastics to biodegrade?). At Zero Waste Republic we maximize materials that break down easily like bamboo.

Change is possible but it’s only possible if we all work together. We believe the best way to promote the Zero Waste Movement is leading by example and sharing information. We all started somewhere. Consciousness of the reality of landfill and the fact that we can dramatically reduce our waste is what helps people make the switch.

Life and rubbish reduction is a learning process. Places like Zero Waste Home and Facebook groups like Zero Waste Ireland are a great help.
